Sources

The Sources section provides direct access to the original historical materials on which the NOISE project is based. All sources are available through IIIF viewers embedded on this site, making it possible to browse the documents page by page and to view search results in their original context.

Two main sources are included:

  1. BSCC Trade Indexes
Digitized by the Swiss Economic Archives (SWA) and published via e-manuscripta. These volumes list companies, persons, goods, and locations relevant to Anglo-Swiss trade.

  2. Britische Schwarze Liste (Gestrichene Firmen)
Alphabetische Kartei. Britische Schwarze Liste. Getrichene Firmen, accessed through the Swiss Federal Archives.

These embedded viewers are provided for convenience and are stable references to the digitized originals. They also enable “jump to source” functionality: each search result in the database can be opened directly in its original context in the viewer.
